Wishing You Joy

Today I'm sharing with you a sweet little Anya ballerina from The Greeting Farm. She's a digital stamp titled "Ballet Anya".  One thing I've noticed, for sure, is whenever I make a card with Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream cardstock, it seems to end up on my "love it!" list. Copics blend so nicely on this paper - and the soft cream enables colors to pop beautifully. What's not to love about that? So, this little dancing darling landed on Vintage Cream - and I think she's happy about it. I hope you are too! ;) I'm going to toss this in as my second entry in the March Farm Fresh Challenge on TFG's Blog. And then... I'm off and running - busy day. What's Up?

Good Morning! Please welcome this little sweety from The Greeting Farm to my blog on this beautiful day! I fell in love with the "Mega-Mini Lift Off" set that was recently released - so darn cute. For the month of March, TGF's Farm Fresh Challenge is "Mixed Media Madness".  Love this - pure motivation! My background is first stenciled with Tim Holtz Picket Fence, and then inked up with distress ink, using my hand made cloud stencil.  Then a few splatters of Picket Fence to finish it off, and Voila!  So simple!  I also tried my hand at no line coloring on this one - gave it my best. But oh, there's practice in store for this crafter!   Anyhow... it was a fun project, and hope it gives you ideas as well. It is a gorgeous day outside - a tease for the coming season. My goal is to get out and go for a walk. We have a great walking trail on the river - such a beautiful place to recharge! Thanks for stoppin' - hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Friday to you! My inspiration to post this morning comes from "A Day For Daisies" blog. Sadly, they will no longer be posting on their site. Thankfully, though, "The ADFD Shop" will stay open so we can continue to purchase their fabulous images.  So the curtain closes with one final challenge - "A Celebration of Favorites". This image definitely fits in that category for me, but I've never managed to get it on to a card until now. Dreaming Always of You

Hello There

It's hard to believe Halloween is soon upon us - the fun of the holidays begins! In honor of this fine "trick or treat" holiday, I've colored "Vanessa Vampire" from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I'm also going to toss my hat into their challenge titled, "Pick a Holiday, Any Holiday!". This one was a kick to create; I think because the paper I chose had a lot of bright, fun colors.  I can just imagine hearing her with that vampire voice whipping around the corner with a "hello there" that makes you want to turn around and beat feet!  LOL. Sami Stamps has another great release - Greyhound Fun!   These truly are fantastic images for creating friendship cards. I chose to color "Greyhound Friends"; but you just have to check out what the rest of the design team has created on Sami's blog - pure inspiration!   The challenge that goes along with this release is "Add Dots"!  You can get creative with this one - add beads, polka dots, design paper - whatever inspires you to dress up these fine pups!  So, have fun with this, and don't forget to stop by Sami Stamps Blog and check out all the new digis in this release!

Your Thoughtfulness

Happy Monday to you! This darling mermaid from The Greeting Farm is my second entry in the "H20 Love" Challenge on the TGF Blog for the month of July. The background hearts/bubbles were done with a stencil and Tim Holtz Picket Fence paint. I then did a wash with Distressed Ink - adding a bit of Perfect Pearls powder from Ranger into my watercolor wash to give it a nice iridescent sheen. So fun! And, of course, colored the mermaid, fish, and seaweed with my Copics. And then... found the perfect sentiment! Just really had a lot of fun putting this together. Hope you enjoy! :)

You're Pretty Much My Most

There's a new Farm Fresh Challenge, "H20 Love", on The Greeting Farm's Blog. So I chose Chibi Diver for my water themed card today, and was she (and her friend) ever fun to color! I also got my distressed inks out to create the water and sand in the background, and threw a few Pretty Pink Posh water droplets to add sparkle. Simple Things

There is a challenge on A Day for Daisies Blog to add glitter to one of their images. So, I've decided to color Flower Fairy for the occasion!  I challenged myself to stay neutral, and use as few colors as possible.  Ultimately, however, I learned that no matter how monochromatic my color theme, I needed lotsa pens to create dimension... lesson learned!  Also, the glitter is difficult to see in the image, but there's actually sparkle on her wings.  :)  Another fun card to create, and I ended up pleased with the results!  Thank you for stopping by!

Hello I love you

Today I've colored Twin Marko for The Greeting Farm's "Farm Fresh Challenge", "All about the boys"!  I started this little project by first stenciling "The Wall", by Prima, with Vintage Photo distressed ink.  And then had a lot of fun coloring Marko.  Love TGF ' S Creepers... I raised two boys, so it's fun to dress these guys in their liking.  This guy reminded me of my youngest... A rough and tumble skateboarder, with a tender heart.  Hope you enjoy!
