Peace In Our Hearts

Happy Friday to you!  I hope you’re enjoying the holiday season, and sneaking in a bit of crafty time here and there!
Today I’ve decided to reach for my Lavinia stamps, and I’m so glad I did!  I haven’t had a chance to stamp up Zamira yet, so was happy to finally get her on a card.  I started by blending a background with Distress Oxides, being sure to securely mask the moon as my first step.  Once I completed the blending, I removed the mask and did a light sweep over the moon with Dusty Concord.  I love the look of a wispy cloud softly shading the moon.  Finally, I stamped my lovely Lavinia stamps to create the peaceful scene I was hoping for.  I hope you like it as well.  There is such a beautiful selection of Lavinia Stamps at 7 Kids.  Be sure to check out all the crafty inspiration - I think you’ll be glad you did!
Thank you for stopping by, and I wish for you and yours a Happy and Peaceful NewYear!

Snowflake Kisses

Hello!  The minute my Hello Bluebird “First Snow” order from 7 Kids arrived in my mailbox, I could not wait to get creative with it!  And this little penguin immediately stole my heart.  Isn’t he just the cutest?  I started by masking the penguin so I could blend the background with Distress Oxide Inks.  I used a template created by die cutting to form the snow covered hills.  I then diluted white acrylic paint with water, and used a paint brush to splatter the snowfall.  Once the mask was removed, I used my Copic markers to bring this darling penguin to life.  He’s just loving that soft snow surrounding him!
This stamp set is so versatile.  I love that it can be used for Christmas cards, and post Christmas greetings as well!  My guess is that you would be just as inspired as I have been if this sweet stamp set landed in your mailbox!  Be sure to check out all the inspiration at 7 Kids!

Peace On Earth

Happy Friday to you!  I’m traveling this week, so have a quick post for you today.  My design is simple and softly touched with color.  And I love it.  I began my project by die cutting the hills with pieces of scrap paper, and using them as guides for ink blending.  I then continued with additional soft colors to complete the horizon.  Finally, I pulled out my Lavinia stamps and chose to fill the hillsides with these lovely trees.  I love working with Lavinia Stamps.  And 7 Kids has a fabulous selection, where you’ll find an abundance of beauty and inspiration!

Wishing You A Season Of Blessings

Hello!  Today I’ve colored Pine Fairy, one of Sweet November’s Christmas Fairies from the recent December digital release at 7 Kids.  I’ve really enjoyed coloring these fairies.  Amy’s (the artist) extensive experience as a colorist provides the crafter with images that are incredibly fun and rewarding to color.  Additionally, with each of Amy’s releases, she takes the time to do live tutorials on the 7 Kids Facebook Group.  And it’s so much fun!  I hope you get the opportunity to nab one of these lovely fairies for your holiday cards.  They will surely make the recipient smile.  And, I hope you have a relaxing and crafty weekend!  Thank you for stopping by!

Wishing You All The Wonder

Oh my goodness.  Have you seen Sweet November’s December release at 7 Kids?  The most darling Christmas Fairies that are so fun to create with!  Today I’ve colored Holly Fairy, and I just love her!  She’s busy decorating frosty sills with holly boughs.  And based on the smile on her face, I think she’s having a lovely time!  The background was inspired by Sandy Allnock.  I recently purchased her mini Copic Course, Holiday Interiors, and I’m really enjoying the fresh ideas she offers in this course!  I chose to create an outdoor view of this window vs. indoor, which Sandy always encourages.  Get creative with what you learn!
That’s all I have for today.  My goal is to color all these fabulous fairies, so stay tuned!
