Hello Birdies

Greetings!  Today I’m up for 7 Kids, and am excited to share with you that for the month of May the featured vendor is Mama Elephant!  I chose to color Birdie Wreath, and decided bluebirds would be the star of the show.  I did something a little different, and clear embossed the wreath after stamping with Tsukineko VersaFine Clair.  I learned about this amazing product from Melissa Andrew.  Her video is here.  Once I was done with the embossing, I watercolored the leaves with Distress Ink.  Then finished by coloring the birds and flowers with Copics.  And for my final touch, I embellished with Nuvo Dream Drops, which are the featured product at 7 Kids as well this month.  I had a lot of fun with this card and it gave me the opportunity to play with various mediums, which always makes crafting more fun and interesting!

Best Day

I’m back with another quick post to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day.  This little Creeper Crew from The Greeting Farm is part of the 10 year TGF anniversary rubber stamp set.  I have been wanting to color her ever since I got the set, so I made sure to make her part of today’s celebration!  And what better way to celebrate Scrapbooking than to rummage through all your stashed remnants of paper from previous projects and find a little paper gem?  And a gem I found!  I thought this colorful grove of trees was made for my little Creeper!  This stamp set is not available at 7 Kids, but there’s plenty of  TGF Cuteness to choose from.  So, now that I’ve spent my entire day getting my crafty on, I think it’s time for me to get dinner going.  Have a great rest of your weekend!

Thought Of You Today And Smiled

Hello It’s a Beautiful Day

Greetings!  I’m up today for 7 Kids, and am super excited to share Nixie from the new Sweet November  digital release, Surfacing.  There are four beauties in this set that are unique, and so fun to create with!  I’m looking forward to coloring all of them, but I loved Nixie so much that I colored her twice!  (See yesterday’s post).
This particular scene is influenced by Sandy Allnock’s Underwater Scenes classes.  Sandy is a fabulous teacher!  And, I thought Nixie was perfect for this bubbly water scene.  I hope you enjoy!

Sending You Sunshine

Good day to you!  My project today was definitely a learning experience!  7 Kids had their monthly Sweet November  digital release called Surfacing.  Four beautiful and unique mermaids to choose from, as well as lovely scene builders.  I really enjoy the versatility that digital images afford when I’m in the planning stages of creating my scene.  Too much fun!
To introduce her release, Amy Young does two days of live coloring in the 7 Kids Facebook Group.  If you’ve not been able to join in, I would encourage you to do so.  Amy’s a great teacher, and so generous with her knowledge.  Yesterday I made time to color along with her during her live, and it was the first time I attempted coloring dark skin.  It was challenging, but I’m determined to keep practicing!  I hope you enjoy my attempt at coloring Nixie, and be sure to check out the other gorgeous beauties at 7 Kids!
