Hi there!  I have a quick post for you today.  My elderly mother took a fall last week, which has precipitated the need to move her into an Assisted Living facility.  An overwhelming and time consuming process, for sure.  Needless to say, I’ve had little time to get crafty!  But, I did take time to color Kylee Boo from the Our Sentiment Colection at Picket Fence Studios.  This is one of those stamps that is quick and easy to create with, and she’s turns out so sweet.  You’ll want to be sure and check out the great selection of Picket Fence stamps at the 7 Kids Craft Store .  Love, love their images!  Okay, off to pack boxes!  Enjoy your week, my crafty friends!

Just A Note

A new week and a new season just around the corner.  It’s such a lovely thing to be waking up to bright sunny days, and see the snow slowly melting away.  It’s also fun to be creating spring themed cards.  So much to be thankful for!  So today I decided to color a little cutey from The Greeting Farm’s “Our Song” stamp set.  An oldie but goody, and so fun to create with.  I also want to mention that 7 Kids is offering a 20% discount on The Greeting Farm stamps.  “Our Song” is not available, but the store does have a nice selection.  So, that’s all I have for you today.  I hope you have a fabulous week!

Sending Easter Hugs

Hello!  I woke up this morning thinking about fun ways to get this sweet Easter Anya on a Card. I had no idea that I’d end up attempting mixed media.  It all started when I was searching for design paper and found a piece that I thought would be fun to layer.  The colors lent themselves to a Spring and/or Easter theme.  So away I went.  One thing about mixed media, I’m finding, is that there are no rules.  You can just go with whatever moves you, which is what I did.  I’m so new to this, but I ended up being pleased with the results.  And, I learned some things that will help with my next mixed media attempt.  A crafty girl couldn’t ask for any more then that!

Hello!  We’ve reached the middle of the week, and I hope yours has been a splendid one!  I’m up at 7 Kids today, and since it’s Wednesday, my post will also be featured in the 7 Kids weekly newsletter . The technique I am featuring is utilizing die cuts creatively by extending your image outside of the die cut border.  I chose to color “Have A Cheerful Day”, by Picket Fence Studios.  These little sprites put a smile on my face every time I look at them!  I found some beautiful papers in my stash and matched them with my Copics, and am so pleased with the results.  Be sure to check out the 7 Kids Newsletter, which you can sign up for on the 7 Kids Crafts  home page.  You’ll find great tips and techniques from the talented 7 Kids design team!

Wish You Were Here

Greetings!  I woke up this morning to more white stuff coming down from the skies.  Enough already!  So, I decided to color up a much happier scene than what’s outside my front door.  It definitely cheered me up!  The star of the show today is The Greeting Farm’s “S’more Fun ”.  I was in creative bliss putting this little scene together.  I decided to glitter up the rocks surrounding the campfire, and apply Glossy Accents  for added dimension.  I also fussy cut a few trees and popped them to add additional interest.  Such a fun stamp set that provides all kinds of creative opportunities.  And want some more good news?  The Greeting Farm is the Featured Vendor at 7 Kids, which means all TGF stamps are 20% off, by using the code “TGF”!

Hello crafty friends!  I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!  I decided to get busy finishing the March Fairy Tot from Sweet November.  This little fairy is an exclusive incentive from 7 Kids for posting in the Sweet November monthly challenge on Facebook.  I colored her along with Amy Young’s live video, and am just now getting her onto a card!  My initial plan was to color in a background, but chose instead to grab a pack of Doodlebug paper.  I liked how beautifully the brightness of the paper complemented her.  My final touches were to add a sun die cut, and a few Nuvo Drops, and I called it complete!  It’s so fun to receive these fairies each month.  I’m looking forward to creating with next month’s Fairy Tot!  And, I hope you have a fabulous week!

Just Because

Happy Monday everyone, and I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  I’m up at 7 Kids today and it’s time for Sweet November’s  March release!  I’m so excited about the introduction of “The Brownie Family”.  There are so many fun elves and scene builders in this new collection.  I have just as much fun creating the scenes as I do coloring them!  You just gotta love digital stamps.  Today I chose to color Bramwell and Marigold again, but I chose a different background for them.  I do so love how they communicate with there eyes and stance.  I kept the scene clean and simple, and was pleased with the outcome.  And that’s it for today, and thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a lovely week!

Hello Sweet Friend

It’s that time again at 7 Kids!  So hard to believe how fast a month goes by, but I’m excited about Sweet November’s March release!  These darling little Brownies interact beautifully, and the scene builders lend to creating with great success and satisfaction.  Today I chose to color Marigold and Bramwell, sweet friends having a lovely time.  The Brownie’s home, and flower spray are also a part of the March release.  I really had fun putting this together, and can’t wait to build more scenes with all the options offered in this set of images!  I hope you enjoy, and are able to check out the fun at 7 Kids!
