Hello

Today's guest is Hillary from Mo's Digital Pencil, harvesting a fruit that is quite plentiful where I live. When you drive into the city I call home, there is a huge apple sign with a neon message indicating we are "The Apple Capital of the World!". Well, I did a Google search... 'cause I didn't truly believe it. I learned that Washington State produces 64% of the nation's apples; which equates to 175,000 acres that produce 2.5 million TONS of apples annually! It breaks down into three regions, and our city actually falls into 2nd place now in Washington State.  The second highest producing state is New York @ 9.7%; that surprised me as well, guess NYC is called "The Big Apple" for a reason! So there you go... a little apple trivia for you on a Wednesday! But, I digress...
Don't you think Hillary is just darling with those apples bundled up in her sweater? It was an easy decision to get her on a card!  My objective was to replicate the beautiful colors that just seem to glow in this area during the time of fall harvest. It was a lot of fun layering papers to create that scene, and of course, Mo's images are always rewarding to color. So that's it for today... hope you have a fantastic week!

  1. I think you totally nailed the feel of fall in our area with this amazing scene! And the beautiful coloring you've done on this sweet girl makes me want to bundle up in an oversized sweater too, she looks so comfy!
