Peace In Our Hearts

Happy Friday to you!  I hope you’re enjoying the holiday season, and sneaking in a bit of crafty time here and there!
Today I’ve decided to reach for my Lavinia stamps, and I’m so glad I did!  I haven’t had a chance to stamp up Zamira yet, so was happy to finally get her on a card.  I started by blending a background with Distress Oxides, being sure to securely mask the moon as my first step.  Once I completed the blending, I removed the mask and did a light sweep over the moon with Dusty Concord.  I love the look of a wispy cloud softly shading the moon.  Finally, I stamped my lovely Lavinia stamps to create the peaceful scene I was hoping for.  I hope you like it as well.  There is such a beautiful selection of Lavinia Stamps at 7 Kids.  Be sure to check out all the crafty inspiration - I think you’ll be glad you did!
Thank you for stopping by, and I wish for you and yours a Happy and Peaceful NewYear!

Snowflake Kisses

Hello!  The minute my Hello Bluebird “First Snow” order from 7 Kids arrived in my mailbox, I could not wait to get creative with it!  And this little penguin immediately stole my heart.  Isn’t he just the cutest?  I started by masking the penguin so I could blend the background with Distress Oxide Inks.  I used a template created by die cutting to form the snow covered hills.  I then diluted white acrylic paint with water, and used a paint brush to splatter the snowfall.  Once the mask was removed, I used my Copic markers to bring this darling penguin to life.  He’s just loving that soft snow surrounding him!
This stamp set is so versatile.  I love that it can be used for Christmas cards, and post Christmas greetings as well!  My guess is that you would be just as inspired as I have been if this sweet stamp set landed in your mailbox!  Be sure to check out all the inspiration at 7 Kids!

Peace On Earth

Happy Friday to you!  I’m traveling this week, so have a quick post for you today.  My design is simple and softly touched with color.  And I love it.  I began my project by die cutting the hills with pieces of scrap paper, and using them as guides for ink blending.  I then continued with additional soft colors to complete the horizon.  Finally, I pulled out my Lavinia stamps and chose to fill the hillsides with these lovely trees.  I love working with Lavinia Stamps.  And 7 Kids has a fabulous selection, where you’ll find an abundance of beauty and inspiration!

Wishing You A Season Of Blessings

Hello!  Today I’ve colored Pine Fairy, one of Sweet November’s Christmas Fairies from the recent December digital release at 7 Kids.  I’ve really enjoyed coloring these fairies.  Amy’s (the artist) extensive experience as a colorist provides the crafter with images that are incredibly fun and rewarding to color.  Additionally, with each of Amy’s releases, she takes the time to do live tutorials on the 7 Kids Facebook Group.  And it’s so much fun!  I hope you get the opportunity to nab one of these lovely fairies for your holiday cards.  They will surely make the recipient smile.  And, I hope you have a relaxing and crafty weekend!  Thank you for stopping by!

Wishing You All The Wonder

Oh my goodness.  Have you seen Sweet November’s December release at 7 Kids?  The most darling Christmas Fairies that are so fun to create with!  Today I’ve colored Holly Fairy, and I just love her!  She’s busy decorating frosty sills with holly boughs.  And based on the smile on her face, I think she’s having a lovely time!  The background was inspired by Sandy Allnock.  I recently purchased her mini Copic Course, Holiday Interiors, and I’m really enjoying the fresh ideas she offers in this course!  I chose to create an outdoor view of this window vs. indoor, which Sandy always encourages.  Get creative with what you learn!
That’s all I have for today.  My goal is to color all these fabulous fairies, so stay tuned!

Have Yourself A Merry

Greetings!  Another adventurous week just flew by, wouldn’t you agree?  Thanksgiving at my house was filled with blessings, and challenges as well.  My husband got the nasty flu.  And it’s been nasty! I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so sick!  As well, my 97 year old dear momma is under Hospice care.  This is the first year, since I can remember, that she hasn’t been at my table.  But we visited, prayed, and she hugged on a soft teddy bear I brought for her.  And, most importantly, she’s warm, comfortable, and has had a life filled with good and funny things to talk about.  Blessings.  So I felt this image, Dreamerland’s A Beary Big Hug (available at 7 Kids), was the perfect portrayal of what I am most grateful for this season: hearts filled with love for each other.  I truly enjoyed creating this scene, and I hope you enjoy it as well!  As always, wishing you a lovely and relaxing weekend with family and friends!

Joy to the World

So, this week just flew by!  I barely managed to fit in a little crafty time, but I’m happy to report that I squeezed it in!  It’s time for the Sweet November vault opening at 7 Kids.  These lovely little Angel Babies are available until Monday, 12/2.  And, I simply adore them!  Just look at those sweet faces!  Amy does such an amazing job of incorporating joy into her images, and these darling angels are no exception.  I started my project by masking the angels and blending the clouds in the background with Catherine Pooler Inks.  And I had such a great time bringing the Angel Babies to life with Copics. This card was a lot of fun, and I have the perfect person in mind to send it to.  Hope you enjoy, and, be sure to nab one of these cuties before the vault closes!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Sweet Christmas Wishes

Hi there, my crafty friends!  Thank you for stopping by.  It has been a relaxing, craft-filled day in my house, and I’m loving it.  I hope you’re enjoying your day as well!
Today I’ve colored Hello Bluebird’s Cocoa Party, (and die companion set) using the Winter Woods Overlay Die to finish the background scene.  I just adore these cocoa loving critters in their cozy sweaters.  There’s nothing quite like a hot cup of cocoa, with friends, when winter weather encroaches.
I used Copics to color this little scene, with Catherine Pooler Inks blended in the background.  This was truly a fun project, and I hope you get a chance to nab these sets at the 7 Kids Store, and have a bit of crafty fun yourself!

Merry Christmas

Hello!  I’m having SO much fun getting crafty with Sweet November’s latest digital release, Very Merrwee Christmas, available at 7 Kids Craft Store!  The release includes five mini bundles that can be used together to create various Christmas scenarios.  Today I’ve combined Santa’s Bundle with the Noe Bundle to create this fun Christmas greeting.  Isn’t little Noe the cutest?  It was so easy and artistically fulfilling to design my own unique scene with these fantastic SN digital images.  You just must give it a try!

‘Tis the Season

Hello, and Happy Friday!  Welcome to the November digital stamp release for Sweet November Stamps at 7 Kids!   This month we are starting the holiday season with a Very Merrwee Christmas release.  There are five mini bundles that can be used together to create various Christmas scenes.  Today I’ve used the Noe Bundle, and the Ming Ming Bundle, which include the gift packages.  I also used the Cookie Tray from the Mrs. Claus Bundle.  It was a fun scene to put together!  I also colored along with Amy’s live today, which provided me with all kinds of inspiration!  If you’ve not had the opportunity to color along with Amy’s lives in the 7 Kids Facebook Group, I would recommend you give it a try.  She is an excellent colorist, and so generous with her artistic knowledge.  It’s just a lot of fun!

Have Yourself

Hello!  Welcome to this month’s Sweet November Vault release at 7 Kids!  There is a fun Gingy collection of gingerbread pals available through the end of the day tomorrow, the 25th.  This little Gingy is busy decorating a lovely tree.  But shhhh.... it’s a surprise!  He has snuck into Mr. and Mrs. Clause’s home at the North Pole, while they are sleeping, to ensure their tree will be beautifully adorned when they wake!  He’s having so much fun getting into the spirit of Christmas!
I used Sweet November’s Gingy with Popcorn, and the tree from North Pole Snapshots to create this scene.  Again, Gingy is available through tomorrow, but the tree is available through the end of the year.  I always have fun creating with Sweet November images, and I’m certain you would too!  Thank you, as always, for visiting my blog.  And have a fabulous weekend!

You’re Bootiful

Another Friday!  Before you know it, we’ll be seeing frightful and fun trick-or-treaters out and about filling their bags with candy.  I love the excitement and creativity that goes into Halloween night.  It was one of the things I looked most forward to as a child.  Needless to say, I love coloring Halloween scenes as a card maker!  Today I’ve colored a fun scene from the Hello Bluebird Halloween Party stamp set, which I’m sorry to say is currently out of stock at 7 Kids.  I stamped and masked my critters first, and then blended the background with Distress Oxides.  And how fun it was to remove the masks and bring these little bunnies to life with my Copics!   I hope you enjoy this little scene.  Have a restful, crafty weekend!

Jump For Joy

Hello!  Today I chose to color Oh Nuts!  This sweet stamp set from Hello Bluebird is filled with darling fall treasures.  This set is not currently available at 7 Kids, but their is plenty of HB goodness  to choose from!  I started my project by stenciling clouds with Picket Fence Distress Ink, and then blended several colors of Catherine Pooler Inks to complete the background.  The CP inks blend beautifully, and I just love the colors!  I then colored the leaves and squirrel with my Copics, fussy cut, and built my scene. I adore the joy of this little critter getting ready to land on his colorful pile of leaves.  The fall story I never seem to tire of!  I hope this little scene makes you smile, and that you’ll get a chance to be crafty this weekend!

Boo From Me to You

Some weeks fly by so quickly, and this was definitely one of those weeks!  But, definitely the highlight of this week was the October Sweet November digital release at 7 Kids.  A fabulous celebration of Halloween with the introduction of three elegant Ladies of All Hallow’s Eve.  Today I’ve colored the Vampiress Mircea, a mysterious and beautiful Mistress of the Night emerging from the shadows to capture the attention of the most unsuspecting.  I adore these lovely images, and they are so rewarding to create with.  I think you would love having them in your collection!
Thank you for stopping by.  I have a houseful of company this weekend, so off I go!  Have a lovely weekend, my friends!

You’re A Spooktacular Friend

Happy Friday!  I’ve got another Boo creation from the Sweet November Vault at 7 Kids.  Meet Boo Loves Scary Larry, and Boo’s Batty Banner.  These are the cutest little ghosts, don’t you think?  These cuties are available until the 1st of October, at which time they will disappear into the vault once again.  I’ve also added The Spooky Tree, and Full Moon to the scene, and these are from last year’s SN release.  They will also be going into the vault at the end of the month, so you better nab them before they’re gone!  Have a fabulous weekend, my crafty friends!

Happy Halloween Boo’s Pumpkin

Hello!  I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!  Have you heard that it’s time for the Sweet November Vault release at 7 Kids?  This month SN has brought back the oh so sweet Boo, and I personally don’t think I’ve met a cuter ghost!  There are three different Boo images available in this release, but remember the vault is open for a limited time.  You have until the first of October to nab one of these cuties, and then they disappear back into the vault once again.
Today I chose to color Boo’s Pumkin.  I decide to fussy cut him and pair him with a few pieces of Halloween paper I found in my stash.  I just love how simple this was to put together, and I’m so pleased with how it turned out.  This one is going in the mail to my grandson, and I think it will make him smile.  Can’t get any better than that, right?  I hope you’ll get the opportunity to create with these darling ghosts as well. Boo!

Happy Halloween

Hello, and Happy Friday!  Today I’ve decided to get back to the Halloween theme by coloring If You’ve Got It Haunt It, by Picket Fence Studios.  I love the sketchy look of these spooky witches.  I tried to follow the same style of pumpkins the witches are holding when creating the pumpkin patch.  And I thought a moonlit night scene would be the perfect stage for these lovelies to harvest.  It was a fun scene to create, and I hope you enjoy.  Be sure to check out the Picket Fence Studios selection at 7 Kids.  Have a great weekend, my friends!

Adventure Awaits You

Hello!  What a busy week I’ve had.  I journeyed over to the other side of the state to watch my granddaughter for a few days, and loved every minute of it.  But it was a tough week for fitting in crafty time!  Tough maybe, but not impossible!  So with the time I did manage to squeeze in, I chose to create a scene with Lavinia stamps.  I started by creating a background with my gel plate using Catherine Pooler Inks.  I then stamped The Crow Set and Silhouette Thistle with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.  Aren’t these two stamp sets lovely together?  I then softened and framed the scene by blending Distress Ink around the edge,  Finally, I decided to use a circle stencil to blend a moon to highlight the crow.  I love how this turned out.  Clean and simple for sure, but I think effective.
Thank you for stopping by.  Be sure to check out the beautiful selection of Catherine Pooler inks and Lavinia stamps at 7 Kids!

Being Your Friend Is a Treat

Have you had the opportunity to see the adorable Sweet November WitchWees yet?  The September SN digital release at 7 Kids is bringing in the season with an abundance of cuteness!  Today I chose to color Rowena and Jack O’Lantern.  I think Rowena used a wee bit of magic to get her friend up on that branch with her.  She was determined to share her star and moon gazing adventure with a friend!  It was fun bringing out the fall colors.  I hope you enjoy, and be sure to check out these darling images available at 7 Kids!

You Say Witch

Halfway through another week already!  I hope you’re having a fabulous one!  Today I’ve colored Picket Fence Studios’ “Witch, Please”, available at 7 Kids.  Love this pretty witch, and it was so easy to design her into a card!  I blended ink on design paper for the background, and I love how it turned out. I typically use plain white card stock when I blend, but it’s nice how the subtle pattern in the paper created the perfect surface for the moon.  It was fun experimenting a little!  The broom, hat, and top of the dress is already blocked with color, so I chose black ink.  Finally, I added a splash of color to her hair and accessories.  A fun and little bit spooky card, don’t you think?

Happy Birthday Mia

Well, I’m on the fifth Surprise Party Fairwee out of six that were released from the 7 Kids Sweet November Vault.  Meet Fairwee Mia!  Isn’t she a cutie?  She’s definitely the life of the party tossing confetti and glitter to her heart’s content!  I had fun with this one, using a little different color combination as we head into the Fall Season.  Difficult to fathom, but it’s inevitable.  Fall is actually my favorite season, so I am very happily making the transition.  I hope you’re enjoying these little Fairwees, and that you’ll stop by tomorrow for the last one in the vault.  Remember, they’re only available until the 31st!  See you again soon!

Happy Birthday It’s Party Time

Has your weekend been as relaxing and peaceful as mine has?  I sure hope so!  It’s funny how it’s either so busy in this house that I can hardly keep my head above water, or it’s the extreme opposite.  Doesn’t seem we have an in between.  But I sure do enjoy the quiet times!  As you can see, I’m still coloring away on the Sweet November Surprise Party Fairwees!  Today I’ve colored Fairwee Piper, popping up to let you know she and her friends are only available at 7 Kids until the 31st, at which time the SN vault closes for another month.  These little cuties are addicting, I tell you!  I added a bit of Nuvo Gold Flakes to the gift box, and a couple border stripes as well.  Such a fun application, and I ended up loving the results!  Okay, I better wrap this up.  Dinner is in the kitchen waiting to be prepared!  Thanks, as always, for your visit!

Birthday Wishes

Hello, and happy Friday to you!  A quick post for you today.  I’m still having all kinds of fun coloring these Sweet November Surprise Party Fairwees from 7 Kids.  Today I’ve colored Josie’s Cupcake.  Isn’t she cute perched up on the most sprinkle filled cupcake at the party?  I may have gone a little crazy with the sprinkles, but I couldn’t resist!  And I loved color matching those sprinkles to the design paper I had in my stash.  I think you’d love creating with these Fairwees as well, but remember, they sneak back into the vault on the 31st and will no longer be available.
You know, all this talk about Josie’s Cupcake has inspired me to get in the kitchen and start baking!  Tootle loo, my friends! ♥️

Happy Birthday To You

Hello my crafty friends!  Today I’ve colored another cutie, Emaline, from the Surprise Party FairWees vault opening at 7 Kids.  Six darling little fairies available until the 31st, at which time they fly back to the vault where the door closes.  I’ve had so much fun with these FairWees!  I did a CAS design with Emaline, as her joyful expression and arms filled with gifts steal the show.  A fun project, and it came together so quickly.  Gotta love that!  And, I love and appreciate that you stopped by today!  Until we meet again!

Happy Birthday

Hi there!  I’m so excited to share with you that it’s time again for Sweet November’s Vault release! We’re also celebrating Kelly’s three year anniversary of owning 7 Kids by bringing back all six of the Surprise Party Fairwees who were originally released in 2012.  You can purchase them individually, or as a bundle.  How cool is that?  Today I chose to color Jilly’s Candle, and paired her up with TGF’s Happy Birthday Die Cut sentiment.  I just love this little cutie filled with joy as she dutifully delivers her candle to the birthday celebration!
Finally, I decided keep the background simple with a few pieces of design paper that I color matched with little Jilly.  I’m so pleased with the outcome, and I cannot wait to color up all six Fairwees!  These darling digital images will be available until the 31st at which time the vault closes.  Better hurry, I’d say!

Birthday Wishes

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you’ve had a great week, and have exciting plans for the weekend!
Today I’ve colored Little Fairies from The Greeting Farm, and also used the TGF Birthday Wishes die as the central focal point of my design.  How do you not love these little cuties?  As soon as this die was released, I thought how sweet these fairies would be as the messengers.  I also found this lovely Basic Grey paper in my stash, and loved the colors!  It’s is so rewarding to match your color medium with Design Papers.  If you love the DP, you’ll undoubtedly love how the colors come together in your finished image and design.
Be sure to check out the 7 Kids Store for their lovely selection of TGF stamps and Die Cuts.  Isn’t it fun how adding to your craft supplies keeps those creative juices going?
Thank you, as always, for stopping by my blog.  See you around the bend!

Hello, and Happy Monday!  I hope your week is starting out to be a fabulous one!  I tried my hand at a bit of no line coloring today with an image from the Picket Fence Studios Beautiful Girls collection.  Jordan Girl has been in my sights to color for a while now, and is available at the 7 Kids Store.  I cannot tell you how much fun she is to create with.  She has such a peaceful expression and stance.  It kind of rubbed off on me while I was coloring her!  I kept it a very clean and simple design, as the image just seemed to demand it.  And the fence is design paper that is has a wood grain that I die cut, and then colored in slats with my Copics.  Overall, I’m pleased with the results, and will definitely be coloring another from the Beautiful Girl collection in the not to distant future!

Be Known For Your Kindness

Hello, my friends!  It has been a crazy busy week, and it felt so good to spend time in my craft room yesterday!  I chose to stamp up my recently purchased The Oracle, and The Crow Set from 7 Kids’  lovely selection of Lavinia stamps.  The background is a blend of Distress Oxides, utilizing the Life Changing Blending Brushes from Picket Fence Studios, also available at 7 Kids!  Finally, I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne to stamp these beautiful images.  And with all the tension in our country recently, I thought this sentiment was an important  message from the wise Oracle.  Hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed crafting this little scene of kindness.  Have a great weekend!

Hello

Happy Friday!  I have a quick post for you today.  This little Sweet November Fairy Tot was released in May as a gift to those participants of the April SN posting challenge.  Isn’t she a cutie?  I’ve been wanting to color her up ever since I received her, but it seems other projects took precedence.  I was so happy to finally get her on paper and bring her to life!  I started by creating a simple blended background with Distress Ink.  Then colored, fussy cut, and mounted her on the distressed circle that I had die cut.  And, I just love her!
If you’ve never received one of the Fairy Tots, no worries!  Just grab one of  this month’s Flower Faes from the 7 Kids SN Secret Garden release, and join the fun!  I haven’t seen a Fairy Tot yet that I don’t completely adore!
That’s all for today my friends.  I hope you have a crafty weekend!
My apologies, but I did not track the colors I used for this post.

Love You Bunches

Hi there!  It’s the first of the month, and that means it’s time for Sweet November’s latest digital stamp release at 7 Kids Crafts!  The beautiful Summer Garden Collection includes four lovely garden beauties:  Rose, Dahlia, Peony, and Gerbera Daisy.  I chose to color Peony Fae, as it happens to be my favorite flower.  And isn’t she just the most beautiful creature?  I added the extra peonies, buds, and mushrooms also available in this release.  I know I’ve stated this in prior posts, but working with digital stamps truly opens up all kinds of options for scene building.  I love her dreamy expression as she sits on that soft, billowy mushroom with her favored blossoms surrounding her.
You’ll want to be sure and join the 2 day release party in the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook Group.  Amy Young will be offering live tutorials that you won’t want to miss, and there will be games and prizes as well!
As always, I want to thank you for visiting my blog.  Hope you get a chance to enjoy this new release, my friends!

Well Hello There

Well, hello there!  I hope you’re having a fabulous week.  My brother is visiting from Michigan, and it has definitely resulted in a fabulous week in this household!  I haven’t had much crafty time, but I’m excited to share this darling Cheeky Girl from The Greeting Farm.  I’ve had this paper in my stash for awhile now, and I found it to be the perfect background for my guest of honor.  A very clean and simple design, but I’m so happy with the outcome!
And finally, be sure to peruse the The Greeting Farm selection at 7 Kids.  This particular stamp is not available, but I think you’ll find all kinds of crafty inspiration in the store.
Short and sweet post today, my friends.  Thank you, thank you, for stopping by!

Hello There Pixies

Sooo excited to share with you that the Sweet November Vault is open, and these sweet Tadpole Pixies are available for the next week at the 7 Kids Store!  Meet Phoebe, Polly, and Lily.  Aren’t they the cutest?  Love their long gangly legs, and the big smiles on their faces.  These beauties sell separately, but the joy with digital stamps is the layout options you’re afforded.  I thought it would be fun to turn these three into a Tadpole Pixie Team United!
They were a blast to create with, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!  Hope you enjoy, and have a great rest of your week!

Just Sitting Here

Hello there!  I hope you’re enjoying your Sunday.  If you’re in a part of the country that is experiencing extreme heat, my wish for you is that you’re in an air conditioned room surrounded by crafty inspiration!
I have a quick post for you today.  I couldn’t put my Hello Bluebird stamps away yet, and ended up combining the “Field Mice” and “Strawberry Jam” sets to create this little scene.  Melissa Andrew’s post was my inspiration for this card.  She made a beautiful tunnel card with these stamps.
Are these mice the cutest, or what?  I kept it very CAS because, well, because that’s what my crafty heart chose to do this morning!  You know, it’s important to follow your heart in these matters!
Both of these sets are available at 7 Kids.  Just click on the above links if you simply can’t resist... lol!
Thank you, as always, for stopping by my blog.... so appreciated!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

You’re So Kind

TGIF!  I love Fridays, and am looking forward to a little fun in the sun this weekend!
Today I’ve colored Hello Bluebird’s Banner Buddies and Die cut set that I purchased from 7 Kids.  Unfortunately, it’s not currently available at the store, but there’s still a fabulous selection of HB images and companion dies.  I haven’t created with a HB image yet that I haven’t just adored.  They are so darn cute!
There were a few bits and pieces to cut and color with this project, but it was worth it.  I’m so pleased with the outcome, and it truly expresses the gratitude I want to share with the lovely person that will be receiving this card!
I hope you enjoy, and that you’ll get a chance to enjoy your weekend as well!

Happy Birthday

Amazing how a loved one’s birthday can inspire a card maker!  I adored this Stamping Bella Curvy Girl since the moment I laid eyes on her!  But my dear friend, the soon to be recipient of this card, was the catalyst that inspired me to get her colored up. The colors and design are a reflection of my friend, and it makes me think of her every time I look at it.  And I love how Stamping Bella’s stamps give you a great head start to a beautiful outcome just by getting the image on paper!  It all started with this lovely design paper that screamed my friend, and the rest easily fell into place.  I’m happy with the CAS design, and the less than common colors I chose.
Be sure to check out Stamping Bella, and all the lovely crafty inspiration at the 7 Kids Craft Store!  See you next round, and thank you for stopping by!

Sprinkled With Love

Hi there!  I’m on a bit of a Dreamerland trend with my crafty projects lately, but how can you not love these sweet images?  Today I’ve colored “Caring For My Little Ones”, and it was too much fun.  I saw an illustration of an outdoor scene that included a picket fence, so thought I’d give it a try!  And I wanted to make sure this cutie didn’t get lost in that great big landscape, so I thought a patterned dress would help her stand out.  And I think it helped, for sure!  And finally, my friend Amy helped me break up the rolling hills by placing a beautiful row of trees.  I couldn’t be more pleased!  I think this sweet caregiver found a lovely spot to feed her little ones.
And, of course, there is a great selection of Dreamerland Crafts stamps at the 7 Kids Store, which offers an abundance of inspiration!
Have a good one, my friends!

To A Wonderful Friend

Happy day before the 4th of July!  It’s definitely a busy time of year, and I’m so grateful to be staying  close to home this year.  More time to get crafty!
I’m up at 7 Kids today, and I chose to color Dreamerland’s “Bonding Time” from their second 2016 release.  A sweet little image of a girl loving on her dog.  The perfect scene to share with a loved one, don’t you think?  I usually start by coloring the little characters first, as they provide inspiration for the type of background I want to go with.  But I wanted this little cutie to have black hair, so I decided to ensure the background was done first, so black wouldn’t pull into the sky and grass.  A simple little scene, filled with all the good feels!
Be sure to check out the Dreamerland Crafts selection at the 7 Kids Craft Store.  I think you’ll love them!  And I hope you have a lovely 4th!

You Lift Me Up

You know you love your craft when you wake up dreaming about your next project.  That’s exactly what I did this morning!  I recently purchased this Hello Bluebird stamp set, Fly A Kite, from 7 Kids. And I just couldn’t wait to get these little cuties colored up!  I started by blending Distress Oxides for the background, and then colored and fussy cut all the little animals and scene builders.  Before I glued the elements to the card, I got out my VersaFine Clare ink and stamped the kite strings and sentiment.  And, voila!  The little dream I had this morning came to fruition!  I hope you like it!

Kindness Changes Everything

Happy Friday!  I’m up at 7 Kids today, and decided to color the June Fairy Tot from Sweet November.  Amy’s post of this little cutie was my inspiration.  I just love my collection of SN fairy tots!  They are not in the store, but are FREE to anyone that posts a Sweet November image within the month of its release.  How amazing is that?  I think you’d have so much fun getting crafty with these sweet images.
You’ll want to be sure to check out the 7 Kids Facebook Group.  So much fun and inspiration.  And a chance to add one of these lovely fairies to your collection of digital images as well!
Have a fabulous and crafty weekend!

I Miss Seaing You

Hello dear crafty friends!  Today I’ve colored the third of three Sweet November mermaids that were a part of the 7 Kids June vault opening.  This is Current Ebbtide and her angelfish friend, Anela.  I love the serene expression on Current’s face, and that her friend has appeared on the scene to be with her.  I experimented with different color combinations this time, and discovered a few that I think I’ll use again!  And, instead of coloring a full background I decided to use a stamp that provided the effect I was looking for.  Clean and simple, and I couldn’t be more pleased.  These beautiful mermaids are available at the 7 Kids store through Monday of next week.  Enjoy!

You Are Mermazing

Hello!  I’m back with another beautiful mermaid from the Sweet November vault release at 7 Kids.  Today I’ve colored Fathom Calmsea and Lio.  I’ve also used one of the Ocean Background sets for the grasses and rocks.  I decided to go with a different color scheme than I’d typically choose for a mermaid, but I ended up being pleased with the results.  Remember, the vault closes next Monday.  Then these lovely mermaids will swim back into the vault, and no longer be available.  Better hurry!
I hope you enjoy your day, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow with the third and final mermaid from this release!

Be A Mermaid

Good Morning!  On the 15th of each month Sweet November releases archived stamps that have been converted to digital images, and make them available for a limited time.  I have to say, the June Vault Opening has been my favorite to date.  I do love characters interacting, and this group of images is fabulous for that!  Today I've colored Treasure Tempestwind and her friends Eddy and Lio.  Treasure and Eddy come together, and Lio is part of the set that goes with Fathom Calmsea.  I've also included the large stone from the Ocean Background set.
I never thought I'd be so excited about digital images, but it is amazing the various ways you can design your cards with them.  Especially with all the additional background elements Amy adds into her releases.  And thanks to Amy’s lives, I've learned a lot about how to color these scenes.  I highly recommend you look into joining the 7 Kids Facebook Group so you can learn from Amy as well.  And of course, don't forget to check out the latest Sweet November release and other crafty goodness at the 7 Kids Craft Store!
As always, I appreciate you stopping by.  I'll be back soon, as I am excited about coloring all of the beauties from this vault opening.  The vault remains open through next Monday, but once the week is over these beautiful mermaids will no longer be available.

So Glad We’re Friends

Hello!  Are you as grateful as I am that it’s Friday?  I have a Hello Bluebird post for you today.  It’s funny, you think when you get started with these tiny images that they’ll color up quickly, but they do end up requiring a bit of attention.  And are they ever fun to bring to life!  There is something really special about HB images.  They have the sweetest stances, and expressions.  This stamp set, Farmyard Little Bits, comes with pigs as well.  And they are adorable!  For this card, I ended up choosing a CAS design.  After applying Distress Oxide, which I love, I colored and die cut the “little bits”.  I just love the interaction of these cuties!  I’m so excited that 7 Kids now carries Hello Bluebird.  This particular set is not available currently, but there is plenty of cuteness to peruse!
Stay crafty, thanks for stopping by, and have a fabulous weekend!

More Than Unicorns

Hello!  My friend Amy and I got together last week for a lovely “crafternoon”, and we each did our own version of Hello Bluebird’s Unicorn Tales.  Granted, Amy is a much more experienced colorist, so I welcomed her tips and tricks along the way.  Such as the color combos, and those sweet little hearts so strategically placed!  We had a great time using Distress Oxides and vellum for the background.  We then went after the unicorns with our Copics, and I cannot tell you how fun it was to watch these little cuties come to life.  How can you not love Hello Bluebird?  In the end, we were both so tickled with the outcome of our respective cards.  And, I’m also excited to share with you that Hello Bluebird is now available at the 7 Kids Craft Store!  Hope you have fun with that, and thank you for your visit!

Spending Time With You

A quick post for you today.  I’m such a fan of Stacey Yacula, and have been for years.  It’s been a treat since she’s been collaborating with My Favorite Things.  I haven’t missed purchasing a release yet.  Her images are so darn cute, and there’s fabulous scene builders in most of the stamp sets as well.  So I’ve colored “Picnic Pals”, and ended up being tickled with the results.  I started the background by blending Distress Oxides, using the MFT Sun Ray Stencil.  From there, I masked and colored the rest of the scene.  And for a final touch, I colored and fussy cut the picnic basket so I could pop it with mounting tape.  A few sequins, and Voila!  A sweet little card that couldn’t have been more fun to put together!  I hope you enjoy!

Everyone Needs A Friend

Hello!  I’m up at 7 Kids today, and I couldn’t wait to put these Dreamerland Crafts stamps on paper!  I used the “A Dog’s Best Friend”, and “Mailbox and Wall” Mix and Match Set.  I don’t do much masking, but I was so pleased with this little scene.  Looks like there’s lots of love to go around between that little birdie, the pup, and the pup’s new owner.  Brings out all the good feels!  Dreamerland is the featured vendor at 7 Kids this month, offering a 20% discount using the code DREAM.  This card came together so easily.  I think you’d love crafting with Dreamerland!

Wishing You a Magical Day

Hi there!  Today’s guests of honor are Sweet November’s Sparkle Moondrifter, Skater & Ray.  In my years of crafting, I’ve never had more fun coloring than with these beautiful mermaids from the latest SN release at 7 Kids.  Their hair, eyes, and sweet friends are a crafter’s dream to create with!  All the postings I’ve seen of these beauties have been gorgeous.  Needless to say, I’m going to color them all!  I hope you’ve been able to get crafty with them as well.  And thank you for stopping by.  Enjoy your week!

You’re Amazing

Hello!  A quick post for you today.  I colored along with Amy during her June Sweet November release, and am just now getting around to sharing the end result!  So, Jewel Eboncave and Bobber are just the most fun to color.  Talk about a sweet friendship in the making!  Jewel is so surprised by Bobber’s appearance.  I mean, he’s an Angler fish!  They’re usually not your friend!  But I think he was a bit captivated.  All is good.  Yes, I do love the stories that Amy instigates with her fabulous creations!  If you haven’t had the opportunity to create with a Sweet November image, I think you’re missing out!  Be sure to check out the latest release at the 7 Kids!
Copics Used:  I didn’t track the colors as I was following Amy’s live coloring.
